A tiny, 25 seat tratoria in the west end, Nook was designed with an eye to 1960's Italian film. The kitchen, bar and dining room are all together in one small room, creating a strong theatricality. All of the lighting and refrigeration is bespoke and built-in to the room. The chairs are modified, second hand from a 1990's Italian manufacturer in Toronto. The colour scheme specified is grounded in recent history but slightly enhanced to recognise the exuberant nature of the Denman street crowd.
